Isaac Clarke, an ordinary engineer, goes on a mission to repair a huge mining ship, the USG Ishimura, only to discover that something has gone horribly wrong. The ship's crew was massacred and Isaac's beloved companion, Nicole, was lost somewhere on board. Alone and using only his tools and engineering skills, Isaac races to find Nicole as the mysterious nightmare of what happened aboard the Ishimura is revealed.
